JTMS automatically reads vehicle number plates at two or more points on the road network. Number plate data captured by ANPR at the roadside, is transmitted to a central computer system where the information is matched to calculate the exact travel times between sites. JTMS can be applied to a single traffic lane at just 2 locations, up to complete road networks with thousands of multiple lane measurement sites; local, regional, national or international.
