The purpose of the interface module is to provide a means of control for up to four PIPS P362 cameras via USB. When used in “MUXED” mode the four channels will provide both ANPR and colour overview via a PCI capture card. When used in this mode it emulates an eight channel system. In addition to providing the USB control to the cameras, the module also controls the power supplied to the camera and provides video connection points for simplified system wiring.

In addition to the camera functions, the module also has an embedded USB hub. This hub connects to an integrated USB A connector for a USB device, 2 spare USB ports, a spare RS232 port and an embedded micro controller. The embedded micro controller can be used to control up to four weigand interfaces, eight buffered IO and three H bridges for motor control.
