Survey activities include:

• Verification and analysis of available camera mounting locations and methods that address considerations for height, angle, desired field-of-view, clearance, and covert versus non-covert situations
• Verification of available cable routes and lengths to stay within system parameters
• Verification and analysis of communications infrastructure based on system data requirements
• Definition of system functional requirements including trigger interface, external triggering versus self-triggering, and triggering on front or rear of vehicle with or without overview images
• Validation of camera/system settings to achieve proper illumination and optimal system performance through the collection and analysis of vehicle plate data.
